WOMEN'S CELL
The Women’s Cell of Dr. S. C. Gulhane Prerna College of Commerce, Science, and Arts is established to promote gender equality, women’s empowerment, safety, dignity, and holistic development of women students and staff. The Cell works towards creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environment through awareness programs, counselling, and capacity-building activities.
OBJECTIVES
- To empower women students through education and awareness
- To promote gender sensitization and equality
- To ensure a safe and supportive campus environment
- To create awareness about women’s rights, laws, and welfare schemes
- To encourage leadership, confidence, and self-reliance among women
FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMITTEE
- Organize awareness programs on women-related issues
- Conduct workshops on self-defence, health, and legal rights
- Provide counselling and guidance to women students
- Coordinate with ICC for grievance redressal when required
- Promote participation of women in academic, cultural, and sports activities
