CODE OF CONDUCT

Code of conduct is a set of principles, values, standards, or rules of behaviour that guide the decisions, procedures, and system of an organization in a way that contributes to the welfare of its key stakeholders and respects their rights.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE STUDENTS

  • Students should note that a minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory. If any of the students does not have a minimum 75% attendance in each subject and each practical, he/she will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
  • In case any of the students is unable to attend the classes/practical’s for any reason, he/she should submit a written application to the Director/Principal for the necessary permission.
  • In case a student is continuously absent from the college without permission, the college may remove him/her from the college without any prior notice.
  • Students admitted to any class shall not be allowed to change the Programme and subjects once selected.
  • In case of cancellation of admission on any ground, fees will not be refunded.
  • Use of mobile phones within the college premises is strictly prohibited.
  • Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the premises once the gates are closed.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave the premises once they enter till the classes are over.
  • Chewing betel nuts, tobacco, or chewing gums or anything objectionable in the college premises will not be allowed.
  • Students damaging college property in any manner will be penalized.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited physically/ through social media.
  • Students will be responsible for the safety and security of their own belongings.
  • College uniform is compulsory. No student will be allowed to enter the premises without the college uniform.
  • Carrying a valid college I-Card is compulsory. Without an I-Card, the students will not be allowed to enter the premises of the college for any reason.
  • Fees for the entire course are to be paid at the time of admission.
  • The guidelines in regards of the fee structure issued by the R.T.M. Nagpur University will be followed time to time.
  • Strict discipline to be followed in the college premises.
  • In case of any problem being faced by any student, he/she should immediately report the same to the Director/Principal of the college.
  • Students driving motor vehicles must possess a valid license from the R.T.O. Without a valid license and without a helmet, they are not permitted to bring motor vehicles on the college campus.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE TEACHING STAFF

  • Faculty must maintain high standards of punctuality, honesty, and professional ethics.
  • They must ensure that they are dressed decently, soberly, and appropriately for the tasks they undertake -casuals are not allowed.
  • Faculty members should cooperate and collaborate with colleagues and external agencies, as necessary, to support the development of the college and students.
  • They should act in a professional and congenial manner towards colleagues, irrespective of their relative position, gender, or status within the institutional hierarchy.
  • They should maintain harmonious relations with each other and the non-teaching staff and students.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE GOVERNING BODY

  • To ensure that the institute is well run and meets the needs for which it has been set up.
  • To use reasonable care and skill in their work as members of the governing body, and must seek professional advice.
  • To attend meetings of the governing body and the committees on which they serve, and acquire knowledge to contribute to decision-making.
  • To make such provisions as may enable the institute to undertake specialized studies with proper provision for libraries and equipment.
  • To provide infrastructure, premises, apparatus, and other means needed for the smooth conduct of the work of the institute.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE PRINCIPAL

  • The principal, being the Head of the institution, is answerable to the Management for all academic, financial, and administrative activities of the institute.
  • He/she will review current academic programmes, collaborative programmes, and Human resources management of the institution.
  • Admission authority for the institution to implement the admission process as prescribed by the university.
  • Development and implementation of a strategic plan for short-term and long-term development of the institute and sustainable quality improvement.
  • Discuss and approve financial estimates, annual reports, accounts, and audit reports time to time. Maintain the necessary records of the institute in the stipulated formats.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

  • HOD is responsible for planning all academic programmes of the Department as per the norms of the affiliating University. In pursuance of the objective, he/she is required to formulate timetables to provide adequate contact hours to complete the syllabus well in time.
  • As the person in charge of the Departments, in case anybody is found anti-institutional activities, he/she shall report the matter to the institution.
  • HOD should ensure proper evaluation of students’ performance and take remedial action.
  • He should forward all the registers on the last working day of every month to the principal’s perusal.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR NON-TEACHING STAFF

  • Non-teaching staff working in the College office or departments should remain on duty during college hours.
  • They should report for duty at least 10 minutes.
  • Teaching staff must always wear their identity badge during working hours.
  • Any Loss or damage to any article in the Lab or classroom should be reported to the HOD in writing immediately.

  • Non-Teaching Staff working in the Lab shall maintain a stock register for all the articles and equipment.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE SUPPORT STAFF

  • Commence work on time.
  • Use all work hours productively and ensure that their activities in the workplace do not impede the effective operation of their department.
  • Maintain a supportive environment while performing the assigned duties.
  • Respect confidentiality in all matters.
  • Understand the job scope, practices, and procedures relating to their position.
  • Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in the performance of their assigned duties.
  • Meet targets regarding work to be performed to the best of their ability.
  • Manage time effectively.
  • Be well-organized
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently when appropriate.
  • Show initiative.
