The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) of Dr S C Gulhane Prerna College of Commerce, Science,and Arts is established to promote equity, inclusion, and equal access to education for all students. The Cell ensures that students from SC/ST/OBC/Minority, economically weaker sections, persons with disabilities (PwD), and other disadvantaged groups are provided adequate academic, social, and emotional support.

The Cell functions in accordance with UGC guidelines and NAAC quality indicators.

OBJECTIVES

To ensure equal opportunities in education without discrimination
To provide support to students from disadvantaged and marginalized sections
To promote inclusive teaching–learning practices
To create awareness about government welfare schemes and scholarships
To prevent discrimination based on caste, gender, religion, disability, or socio-economic background.

FUNCTIONS OF THE CELL

To identify and address issues related to discrimination
To support students academically through remedial coaching and mentoring
To guide students about scholarships, freeships, and welfare schemes
To organize awareness programs on social justice and equality
To facilitate barrier-free access for differently-abled students
To maintain grievance records and submit reports to IQAC.

GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL MECHANISM

Students can approach the Equal Opportunity Cell through:

Written complaint to the coordinator
Direct interaction during office hours
