INTERNAL EXAMINATIONS
Conduct of Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE)
The college adopted various methods for the internal evaluation of theory and practical subjects to assess students’ different abilities, which are not evaluated in the semester-end examinations (SEE).
The performance of the students is evaluated internally continuously by the concerned faculty member. The method for the evaluation is decided by the faculty member based on the expected program-specific outcomes (PSOs), and the students are informed well in advance.The faculty can opt for any of the following methods for the CIE.
1. Home assignments
2. Unit Test
3. Mini project
4. Laboratory work
5. Case study
6. Group discussion
7. Viva/voce/Oral Examination
8. Seminar
9. Attendance
The timetable of the unit tests and pre-semester examination is communicated to the students well in advance by notices circulated in the classroom and by displaying on the notice board.
The answer papers of the unit tests and pre-semester examination are shown to the students, and if they have any doubts about their marks obtained, they are clarified by the concerned teachers.
The faculty advises students on the expected answers to the particular questions. The answer papers are returned to the students after thorough discussion.
The faculty members conduct the internal evaluation process effectively and apply these methods to measure the learning outcomes and to assess the professional abilities and life skills acquired by the students from teaching and learning the syllabi.
The college has given total freedom to the teachers for formative evaluation of the students throughout the semester.
If a student skips the internal examination of the college due to sports, NCC, NSS, or cultural activities, the college allows such a student to resubmit the same.
